My Training as a Counsellor was based on the Person  Centred approach but over the years I have become an integrative counsellor. I consider myself to be a creative therapist and I use Art Therapy, Visualisation, and Gestalt techniques, and Cognitive Behavioural, where appropriate.  I have also undertaken training in Online Counselling.

Talking as openly as you can with someone who trained to listen sensitively and without judgment can help to overcome confusion in your life. It can help you gain insight into your difficulties and show you the way forward.

I believe that entering into a therapeutic relationship is strong and brave. It is demanding in time and effort but it can result in you feeling more contentment in your life.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their code of ethics. I receive regular Supervision as laid out by BACP.

I will keep our communications confidential and any information I hold on you will be kept in a secure place for a limited time only ie the time we are in contact.

I am required by law to report cases of child abuse, but this I would not do without informing you directly before the event.

Remember - If you are in an immediate crisis situation get help immediately - please mailto:jo@thesamaritans.org now and ask for help. The Samaritans website can be found at www.samaritans.org
